Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions, along with any order placed via email, telephone or through our online store, and any invoice sent electronically constitutes the whole agreement between you and The Cornish Flower Patch.

Delivery and returns terms are displayed on our separate Delivery and Returns page.  Frequently Asked Questions also constitute our terms and conditions.

Please read these terms and conditions set out below carefully before purchasing Goods or ordering Services from us.

Pick Your Own Flowers Sessions

Our standard metal flower bucket is large enough to fill with a maximum of 40 mixed stems, depending on the variety you select. Please select a mix, rather than lots of one variety, to allow others to have a choice of varieties also.

Please wear sturdy, covered footwear (like wellies, boots or shoes), including children, as the ground is uneven being farmland.

We regret the grounds are not suitable for those with limited mobility, wheelchair users, or pushchairs.

If there is extreme wet weather forecast we reserve the right to cancel the session, you will be offered an alternative date (if available) or a full refund. Weather cancellation is at our discretion, we don’t stop for a bit of Cornish drizzle! We will try to contact you the evening before by text or email if that is the case.

We have temporary, standard type Portaloo toilet facilities during the high summer for Pick Your Own Sessions.

If you choose to cancel your session, please contact us 72 hours before, for a full refund, in order that we can re-advertise your session.

We regret we cannot extend the session time you have booked as we have limited parking for the next session to begin.

We cannot legally issue scissors to children Under 12, but you can choose to do so if you wish at your discretion. Children must be fully supervised at all times.

We regret we cannot allow dogs (although we love them!) as we have neighbouring sheep grazing.

Flowers

We offer flowers for a limited time during the year, usually from April to October.  Our arrangements, services and goods are subject to availability.

Flowers we have available are dependent upon the British weather conditions and are also dependent upon seasonality.

As far as is reasonably possible, we endeavour to use the freshest hand-picked flowers from both our cutting patch and from other seasonal growers when we do not have the volume of our own grown to fulfil an order.

We reserve the right to adapt your order subject to weather, market conditions, trade law changes and seasonal availability.

All flower deliveries will have a care card attached for the recipient as standard.  With flowers being perishable goods they are susceptible to fluctuations in temperature and the environment they are placed in, be that display or during transport.  We do not accept responsibility for a deterioration in their condition due to unsuitable care by the recipient.

For the avoidance of doubt, care of fresh flowers is as follows:

Flowers should be unwrapped and removed from their wrapping, including the string, within 12 hours of delivery;

Stems should be re cut at an angle to ensure maximum water take up, and immediately placed in cool, fresh water in a clean vessel;

Flowers should be kept in a draught free and cool environment, away from direct sunlight i.e. window sills, and away from pets and children;

Water should be renewed every few days and spent flower heads removed to prolong the life of the display.
