LET US TELL YOU ABOUT OUR WEDDING FLOWERS

WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING A BREAK ON NEW REQUESTS FOR WEDDING FLOWERS FOR 2024/25, THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST

We welcome all brides, grooms, and their families who would like to take part in arranging their own wedding flowers, whether it’s decorating the venue, or even making your own bouquet or posies for your bridesmaids!

We grow a range of beautiful, seasonal field flowers, perfect for your wedding. Our wedding flower buckets, and our “Bouquet, Buttonhole and Buckets” wedding flower package, are available from June until September. This is when the flower farm is in peak production.

Our wedding flower buckets contain a mixed selection of focal flowers, secondary flowers, light and airy fillers, grasses, herbs and foliage. This will be in a suitable ratio for designing and will consist of approximately 60 stems. All stems will be conditioned appropriately and will be ready to be arranged.

Our 2023 wedding flower buckets of 60 stems are priced at £85.00. This cost includes pre conditioning, so your flowers are immediately ready to work with. Wedding buckets can be ordered by emailing us at hello@thecornishflowerpatch.co.uk.

We recommend you book your wedding flower buckets in good time, as they are very popular, but if you’ve decided on a last minute purchase of flowers to style your big day, we can often accommodate with up to just one week’s notice (subject to availability).

BOUQUET, BUTTONHOLE AND BUCKETS PACKAGE

Our “Bouquet, Buttonhole and Buckets” package is for those who would love to style their wedding venue themselves, but would prefer to leave the rest to us! Your bouquet and buttonholes package will consist of all the lovely flowers we have peaking at the week of your wedding date.

2023 SEASON:

BRIDAL LOOSE HAND TIED BOUQUET WITH TONING RIBBON: £95.00

BRIDESMAIDS PETITE HAND TIED: £60.00

BUTTONHOLES: £13.50

This great value package will be created especially for you, using the same flowers you will receive in your wedding flower buckets, and although we cannot guarantee what varieties or colours they will be, rest assured they will be fresh, vibrant and beautiful, for that “garden gathered” look.

The bridal bouquet will be a simple hand tied style, the bridesmaids posies a smaller and simpler version of the bridal bouquet to create a harmonious look, and the buttonholes made with all the little elements we gather to match. We tie your bridal bouquet with our choice of toning ribbon, but if you would like to match your flowers to a botanical dyed silk, we can offer this at an additional cost.

As a guide, one bucket containing 60 stems would provide enough to make any of those listed here:

ONE BRIDAL BOUQUET

TWO BRIDESMAIDS POSIES

SIX JAM JAR ARRANGEMENTS

TWO OR THREE LARGER FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS

(Example, metal jugs or glass vessels).

We also sell floristry essentials such as flower snips, wires, ribbons and a selection of vessels to make your flower designing journey easy and enjoyable. We can add these to your wedding flowers order if you need them, too!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order and pay?

We have made ordering very easy! Simply email us at hello@thecornishflowerpatch.co.uk with details of your wedding date, your order, and any questions you may have! We will send you send you an invoice to pay a 20% booking fee to secure your date, along with our Wedding Terms and Conditions, and all the information you will need regarding transportation, storage and care of your flowers. Payment of the booking fee means that you accept our terms and conditions. Two weeks prior to the wedding date, we will email you again with more accurate details of the flowers that are coming into bloom on the Patch, and invoice you for the remaining balance.

Do you deliver?

DIY wedding buckets of flowers can be collected from the farm. Alternatively, we may be able to deliver, depending on our workload that week and venue location, for a mileage charge of £1.50 per mile.

Do you have a minimum order?

No. We provide DIY buckets for weddings and events, but can accommodate smaller quantity orders for flower clubs, events coordinators and for anyone with an interest in floral home styling – we know that not everyone needs a full bucket. If you would just like to purchase and collect a bunch or two, that is fine. Please contact us for up to date prices.

Do I have to provide my own buckets?

No, the cost of your purchase includes your buckets, this way we can ensure that the flowers leaving our farm have been correctly stored, conditioned and suitably contained for transportation.

Can I return the unwanted buckets after my wedding or event?

Yes certainly! We will accept returns of empty, clean and undamaged buckets – as you cannot recycle them, we will re-utilise them.

Do you do wedding floristry?

For the 2022 season we will be offering a Bouquet, Buttonhole and Buckets package, where we will make your bridal bouquet and buttonholes to be collected with your wedding flower buckets. This simple floristry package, using the flowers in bloom at the farm the week of your wedding, takes the pressure off, allowing you to have fun with your family and friends in decorating your venue. We advise couples via email, two weeks prior to the collection date, of what is peaking in the field.

How many buckets will I need for my wedding?

Our buckets contain a mix of focal flowers, secondary flowers, light and airy flowers and grasses, scented herbs and foliage, in a suitable ratio for designing, consisting of approximately 60 stems. A well filled jam jar is likely to require ten to fifteen stems, on average.

What flowers can I expect in my wedding buckets?

DIY wedding flower buckets are growers’ choice of approximately 60 stems. These will be the very best of what is at its peak in the field that week. Some will be fully open, some still in bud to open on the day of the wedding. We cannot guarantee colours or type, but will try our best to accommodate should you have any particular dislikes. We find most couples prefer either “brights” or “pastels”, and that is something we can usually do! Please note that the buckets will not contain all ‘premium’ flowers such as roses or peonies, we supply a balanced mix (as used by all floral designers) to create an overall design feel.

Can I send you images of my ideas?

As we are a flower farm, and we grow lots of varieties in small quantities, we are not like a high street florist who can be much more prescriptive. All our flowers are grown naturally, and as such, we are at the mercy of the Cornish weather! What we offer is natural, unstructured, with arching stems, quirks and a rustic feel. The flowers we harvest for your wedding will be the pick of what is peaking on the farm that week – If you are looking for unusual flowers that you don’t see at the high street florists, styled in that “garden gathered” look, that is our vibe!

Can I come to the farm to look around?

During the growing season we can sometimes accommodate visits by prior appointment, but unfortunately we cannot have drop-in visitors to look around the fields and tunnels outside of this, due to our farm insurance cover. Customers are, of course, able to collect orders as arranged at the time of ordering.

Please note that these FAQ’s form part of our terms and conditions and should be viewed as such.
